The hotel was very good and met expectations but the service was what made the stay worth while. The guys that operate there day to day are amazing, kind and will deal with any request you have to the best of their ability. Definitely recommend!
Solid place to stay. Secure onsite parking. Easy walk to groceries & town. Also, has breakfast option. Stayed in room #7 which was a upstairs unit, seemed roomy enough, nicer bathroom both with plenty of natural light & views. Charming old building with many artifacts in the halls & decorating the walls. 3 nights in early-September 2025. Negatives: Larger Bath towel had some stink in it when wet, while the smaller hand towel was properly clean. Missing towel rack in the bathroom. No daily service provided, which is subjectively a + or - for this length of stay. No USB ports. Positives: Check-in was easy, there's even a toilet room right adjacent the front desk (in case you need to go). Lot's of onsite free parking. Room was quiet, clean, & comfortable. Nice view. Water was hot. Roomy Bathroom with full tub & adjustable hand held shower. Standard coffee/Tea & a kettle with a nice added touch of some Hot Cocoa good for four mugs worth. Silverware/ceramics were clean. Check-out was easy, just drop the keys off.
Very good hotel just situated just outside Wolverhampton. I got a bus into the centre from around the corner and it only took 10mins. The car park is free, and has plenty of spaces. This charming hotel has a themed to it as it has a few items from the past dotted around the hall, Lookout for the Knight in the hallway. The host I met was very welcoming, and very polite he showed me my room on the first floor. It was at the front of the house, clean, hot drinks facilities, excellent wifi, TV and a bath/shower room that had plenty of hot water. It was quiet and very comfortable. They do breakfast in the morning but unfortunately when I was here the chef was ill but I didn't mind that.
I really loved my stay at this place. It was the quintessential English hotel. Beautiful building. It was located in a quaint, quiet, safe area. All of the staff were absolutely lovely. The room was comfortable and spacious. Great views. The meals were delicious and authentic English cuisine. Loved the décor. Easy access to local spots. Would encourage anyone passing through the area to stay for a few nights. 10/10.
